Though the process is not always linear,
my approach is based on 3 simple questions:

Where are you now?

This is about taking inventory together and being totally honest. What’s working? What’s not? What do you love? What do you not love?

Depending on your needs, this may include going over your pricing, reviewing your website and portfolio.

Where do you want to go?

This is the visioning stage, dedicated to dreaming - as big as you want! You are invited to get clear on what success looks like for you.

At this stage, the process may include guided visualization exercises and journaling prompts to explore on your own time.

How do you get there?

Now that we know where you are and we are clear on where you want to go, we brainstorm, we plan, and we get creative! I will guide you to practice tuning in with yourself to make intentional decisions that are in alignment with your vision and your definition of success. There is no one size fits all here :)

ABOUT ME

My love affair with photography began in 2007 when I was in my final year of Journalism school at Concordia University in Montreal. I was a storyteller, that much I knew, I just didn’t know what form or what medium felt most right to me. And then I met this guy, a freelance photographer who worked with the magazine I was interning for, and within a few months of meeting him, I found myself in love with both him and photography.

Looking back I realize that I was always a photographer. As a child, I would borrow my parents’ camera to take photos of my stuffed animals, and I produced styled photoshoots with my little sister as a model on more than one occasion when we were growing up.

Over the next 12 years, that guy I met who introduced me to photography would become my business partner, my husband, and the father to my children. Together as Davina + Daniel, we photographed weddings in over 25 countries, taught workshops and spoke at conferences around the world. We founded and eventually sold a wedding photography business in Montreal which photographed close to 100 weddings a year, personally training a dozen photographers who went on to start their own successful photography businesses. Our reputation for outstanding post-production led us to start Image Salon in 2014, a company founded on exceptional customer service and highly specialized editing.

Over the span of my career, my work received international recognition in print and online, and awards from reputable organizations like Fearless Photographers, International Society of Wedding Photographers (ISPWP), and Masters of Wedding Photography North America. In 2018 I earned the Professional Wedding Photographers of Canada Photographer of the Year award.
